Barbara, this is masterful! The peaches seem to pop off of the page in contrast to the muted background colors. Like!
Barbara Jewell replied:
Anne, thanks so much for your return visit and wonderful comment and L for this image! :-))

Thank you very much, Barbara for your answer and advice. I'll try to do it. Watercolour is like flinger, and it takes a painter a great talent and skills to sit on it courageously and masterfully.

Barbara, how do you manage to create such things????? It is not possible to paint glass so realistic. I admire your style- colors are so bright, variety of half-tones, texture, created so lightly, naturally! F/V
Barbara Jewell replied:
Thank you for your generous comments, Natalya! Re: painting glass realistically...what you do is to paint what you DO see, which is the reflections and the shadows. What is left unpainted is the clear glass. Try taking a photo of a glass object. It may be easier to paint it from something 2 dimentional at first. You can do it!

Wow! It's fantastic how you painted the glass!
Barbara Jewell replied:
Thank you! It's all in seeing the shadows. (I got to vote for King of the Cats again in a contest. Good luck!
